About Forever Jung
Carl Jung changed how I understand my own mind. His insight was that we are mostly strangers to ourselves, that the parts of us we cannot see still run the show, and that the work of a life is to turn and meet them. Dreams, he believed, are how the deeper self speaks when the conscious mind finally stops talking over it. That idea reorganized my inner life. Forever Jung is my attempt to make the tools that helped me available to anyone willing to look inward.
Jung is one of the foundational figures of modern psychology. He gave us the language of the unconscious as a living force, the archetypes, the shadow, the idea of individuation as the slow becoming of a whole person. Concepts most people use without knowing the source, introvert and extravert among them, came from him. His influence runs through therapy, literature, religion, and art a century after he wrote. This site is built on that body of work.
What it holds: 51 Jungian concepts, 90 dream symbols, 7 narrative frameworks across 68 stages, 33 bridges between psyche and story, and 36 stories from traditions on five continents. A structured body of depth psychology built to be explored, not just read. Everything on this page draws from it: the dream analysis, the quiz, and every card you can open.
What it is for: seeing the patterns in your own inner life. Bring a dream and Forever Jung will explore it with you. Take the quiz to find which archetypes are most alive in you right now. Or wander the concepts and symbols and follow your own curiosity inward. The goal is not to make you need this. It is to help you learn to listen to yourself.
What it isn't: a therapist, a diagnostic tool, or a substitute for professional support. Forever Jung illuminates, and you decide what the light reveals. Interpretations here are offerings, not verdicts. Your felt sense is the ground truth.
On Jung the man: he was, like all of us, flawed, and some of his flaws were serious. His gendered framework reflects his era, so this site offers the Inner Other as an inclusive alternative. His treatment of non-European traditions as primitive was wrong, and the stories here stand as essential voices in their own right rather than as supplements to his. His conduct during the Nazi era was morally compromised, and that deserves to be named plainly rather than explained away. None of this cancels what he gave us. A person can light the way forward and still stumble on the path himself. The man who mapped the shadow spent a lifetime wrestling his own, which may be the most honest proof that the map is real.

The mandala at the top of the page was drawn by my daughter. We kept her lines exactly as they are, because a real drawing, perfectly imperfect, says more about wholeness than anything machine-made.
